NWYMCA TT League: Playing format

The League uses the Corbillion Cup format.

A team match is four singles matches and one doubles match (3 out of 5 games, 11 point games).

All matches should be played, even if a team has "won" the team match 3-0 or 3-1.

Each match has a designated "home" team.

The Home team will have players A,B,C and the away team will have X,Y,Z (possibly with no C or Z).

The play sequence is: AX, BY, doubles, AY, BX

In order to maintain the value of the doubles match, the play sequence is strictly enforced.

Each team captain will, simultaneously, provide the other team captain with their play order before the match starts. However, the optional doubles players (C,Z) can be added at any time up to the end of the second match of the team match (i.e., just before the doubles match is to be played).
