Swedish born Ragnar Fahlstrom, began playing table tennis in his native land at the young age of 12. He learned how to play by attending various clubs and becoming active as a junior.

Ragnar became a SDTTA member 4 years after the club was formed and has always been a respected top player. Winning the 1964 and 1967 Pacific Coast Open Men’s Singles is a highlight to remember. He also played in the 1964 and 1967 U.S. Open Men’s Doubles Semi-Finals. In recent years, Ragnar has reached the finals in 4 U.S Closed Veteren’s events.

Ragnar is proud to have reached the Finals in over 100 tournaments around the world. He has participated in 5 World’s Veteran’s Table Tennis Championships, including:

1988 – Yugoslavia
1990 – USA
1992 – Ireland
1994 – Australia
1996 Norway

Ragnar is a true gentleman who owned and operated "Little Sweden Restaurant" in San Diego, for 21 years. He enjoys traveling the world with his beautiful wife, Nancy, whom we can see at his side at any tournament.
