Not to take anything away from Matt, but this is the worst I've ever seen Derrick play.  He seems to have no fight, no spirit.  He is half-heartedly going through the motions of playing.  Is he tired?  Is he confused?  I noticed that he serves, pushes, and opens up to the same spot every time- right into Matt's body.  Can't he go wide once in a while?  Can't he serve a different spin, with a different pace, to a different location?  All his open-ups are the exact same amount of speed and spin.

Like I said, I've seen Derrick play much better than this before.  Very anti-climactic final.  Glad I didn't stay for it.

I'd like to see the match between Derrick Cone and Leo Lucas.  That must have been exciting.

I think you should post the match between Matt and Gia Leu.  That was a high-level match.  Matt had to make some sick shots to win that match.

A couple of my kids at school saw me watching it and said they were terrible.  You know, I really couldn't wholly disagree, although I did point out the third ball and all.  But there sure weren't many good rallies in that match.
